Artist Statement

I come from Doomadgee in Far North Western Queensland up in the Gulf Country. My tribes are both Waanyi and Gangalidda. My paintings are about my culture and the ways in which the old people taught us all about our traditional ways and how we connect to our Country.

This picture tells the story of the different seasons of our Sea Animals and when it is appropriate to go hunting for them.
