This large, handwoven raffia basket, created by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artist Bronwyn Minniecon, is a remarkable example of traditional weaving. Measuring approximately 29 cm in diameter and 4 cm deep, it is crafted entirely from natural raffia. The tightly woven base features 15 meticulous rounds of weaving, while the sides are formed with 4 additional rounds, resulting in a fairly sturdy structure.
