This Desert Roo Pendant on a black rubber necklace is handcrafted in Australia by Occulture. It features the Kangaroo of Yuendumu artwork by Warlukurlangu artist Karen Napaljarri Barnes. Karen’s artwork is printed onto a dog tag disc made of anodised aluminium. There are also matching Occulture earrings available in this Desert Animals Karen Napaljarri Barnes Collection.
Jewellery designer Lisa Engeman works in collaboration with the Warlukurlangu people of the Yuendumu region of the central Australian desert, Gamilaraay woman, Arkeria Rose Armstrong, and a lineage of well-known and respected artists from Utopia and Yuelumu country, including Raymond Walters Japanangka, transferring their artwork on to exquisitely designed contemporary jewellery pieces. Made by hand, each item possesses unique, intrinsic beauty with variations in shape, size, and metal finish.
