Description

Introducing a unique Aboriginal gift for dog lovers. Each steel sculpture is adorned on both sides with hand-painted Aboriginal artwork , crafted by artists at the Warlukurlangu Aboriginal Art Centre. Standing approximately 7cm in height and 16cm in length, these sturdy and stable steel dogs add charm to any space.

Inspired by camp dogs from the Yeundemu Community, such as Snowy, these sculptures capture the essence of canine companionship. Snowy, the muse for one of these sculptures, overcame illness with the help of community vets before peacefully passing away from old age.

Created by the talented artists of Warlukurlangu, a part of the Warlukulangu Artists Aboriginal Corporation established in 1985, each piece embodies love and tradition. The original artwork, steeped in cultural significance, originates from the heart of Central Australia. Through their art, these Aboriginal artists not only preserve their heritage but also contribute to the sustainability of remote communities. Proceeds from the sale of these sculptures directly support Aboriginal people and their community initiatives.
