This beautifully handcrafted little bowl by Aboriginal artist Barbara Richards Ngwarray, designed as a sugar pot or versatile container, stands 8 cm high without the lid and 11 cm high with it. With a squat, pot-belly shape and a diameter of 10 cm at its widest point, the bowl features a cream glaze on the base and inside, beautifully contrasting with a raw terracotta section adorned with Barbara’s distinctive desert art that weaves around the exterior. Because it doesn’t have a hole for a spoon, this bowl is versatile for various uses, making it ideal for storing sugar or other items.

An Anmatjere artist from Alice Springs, Barbara’s work reflects her cultural heritage and artistic vision. As part of the Ngwarray-Kenh collection—meaning “Belonging to Me”—this little piece embodies a deep connection to country and tradition, making it a practical and meaningful addition to any home.
