Barramundi Artwork Story

Our number 1 predator fish of the Gulf rivers, our Barramundi.

They’re tough, strong and unless you’re willing to battle, you won’t get one. Battle the heat of our North. Battle the danger of our crocs. Battle the floods of our Wet Seasons. And of course, battle the mighty Barra itself.

The samphire of our coastal beaches and river banks lies behind the barra. The red background shows the muddy waters of the Gulf during top barra season, when the rains fall and our rivers flood. The designs in the barra shows a strong structure to the bone and the indicative large yellow tail that gives the barra its speed and power.
