Description
These charming earrings feature a design by Rowena Morgan, a Kija-Gooniyandi-Jaru artist, celebrating the dirrarn (black cockatoo). A familiar sight on Rowena’s Country, these birds hold deep cultural significance, symbolising power and respect.
The earrings are handcrafted from acrylic and showcase two unique cockatoos: one flying and the other perched. Their bold black design is accented with painted red details and connected by a small silver hoop to a sparkling red glitter top. The reverse is plain black, and the birds dangle playfully, adding a quirky touch to the design.
Measuring approximately 4.5cm in width and 5cm in length, these earrings are lightweight yet striking. Made with stainless steel, nickel-free findings, they are comfortable to wear and celebrate Indigenous artistry with a playful edge.
