Description
These stunning earrings feature a bold stingray design by Yawuru-Karajarri artist Martha Lee, who has spent most of her life in Rubibi (Broome). Stingrays, or birndany, are a vital food source for Yawuru people and are especially enjoyed during Laja Season (October to December), when they are at their fattest.
The design is handcrafted from acrylic, showcasing a shimmering blue mirror stingray with a soft grey reverse that subtly allows the blue to shine through. A lilac circle top connects the design, adding a playful contrast. Stainless steel, nickel-free posts ensure comfort and durability.
Measuring approximately 7cm in length, these earrings celebrate cultural heritage with a contemporary flair, making them a striking addition to any outfit.
