Nagula Jarndu’s handmade earrings blend fun, tradition, and cultural significance. Each pair features unique designs and vibrant finishes, combining modern style with Indigenous artistry. Crafted with stainless steel, nickel-free posts, they celebrate Aboriginal culture with a playful and distinctive touch.
These Goorrarndal (Brolga) earrings, created by Kija artist Rowena Morgan, celebrate one of her favourite birds, the brolga, known for its graceful dances on the floodplains of her Country. Crafted from pearl grey acrylic, these earrings feature intricate hand-painted charcoal details that capture the elegance of the brolga. The design is accented with a green mirror jila (waterhole) and a black organic circle top, bringing the spirit of the land into each piece. Measuring approximately 10cm in length, these earrings are finished with stainless steel posts, making them both bold and beautifully crafted.
Nagula Jarndu, meaning “Saltwater Woman,” is an arts and textiles business run by Indigenous women from Broome, Western Australia. Established by Yawuru women, it empowers Aboriginal artists to create handcrafted products that reflect the local landscape and celebrate cultural heritage.
