Description

Nagula Jarndu’s handmade earrings blend fun, tradition, and cultural significance. Each pair features unique designs and vibrant finishes, combining modern style with Indigenous artistry. Crafted with stainless steel, nickel-free posts, they celebrate Aboriginal culture with a playful and distinctive touch.

These Kija Country earrings, designed by Kija artist Rowena Morgan, reflect the majestic hills of the Lansdowne Ranges, a region in The Kimberley for which Rowena is the custodian. Crafted from striking gold mirror acrylic, the earrings capture the beauty of the landscape. The design is complemented by a red, black, and gold glitter circle top, measuring 1.5cm in diameter, adding a touch of vibrant contrast. With a total diameter of approximately 5cm, these earrings are both a statement piece and a tribute to the artist’s ancestral land, finished with stainless steel posts for lasting wear.

Nagula Jarndu, meaning “Saltwater Woman,” is an arts and textiles business run by Indigenous women from Broome, Western Australia. Established by Yawuru women, it empowers Aboriginal artists to create handcrafted products that reflect the local landscape and celebrate cultural heritage.
