ARTIST:
Lillian Fourmile, a Birri-gubba and Yidinji woman from Far North Queensland, grew up among the sugar cane fields, moving frequently with her family as her father worked as a cane cutter. The third of nine children, she began painting 28 years ago, starting with bark and later exploring various mediums, including etching at Djumbunji Press KickArts Fine Art Printmaking Studio.
Artwork Details: Turtles and Fish Coming to the Shallows to Feed (2009) is a three-colour etching, part of a limited edition of 30. Measuring 167 x 122 mm, it was published by Djumbunji Press Kick Arts Fine Art Printmaking.
