Artwork Story

This painting is a representation of the freshwater crayfish on Wakka Wakka country Cherbourg, in southern Queensland.

It is a memory painting, reflecting my childhood growing up as a young boy, going out on country to catch a feed. Times were hard throughout the 60s, and going out hunting was a means of putting food on the table.

I hold onto this image because it is part of my early life of survival.
