Artwork Story
The four dotted circles are the waterholes. A creek is running through. The freshwater eel, brim, and emu are the main occupants located in and around the area of this creek system.
The background is dotted with yellow and red. This represents the patches of soil and taller grasses that are dominant throughout this area.
The lines represent how straight I hold my culture and beliefs. White is for life and water, yellow for the sun, and red for blood, through my culture and beliefs.
Completed 5/10/2018
Note: Wesley Williams is not a Gulf artist, but his artwork is part of the Wes Williams Collection at Ancient Journeys. These paintings showcase his country, Cherbourg, Queensland.
